I swear Halloween has become the new Christmas! More and more people are going all out to decorate their front yards.
This is one photo from a family's house that I went out to today. A neighbor had called the paper saying this family does an elaborate job of decorating their yard for Halloween every year. Well, apparently, every year they have a big party for family and friends. They have woods on their property and turn it into a haunted forest with a maze in the middle. Yeah, these people, well the woman for sure, are really into it. They look like perfectly normal people, and are very friendly--not the typical weirdo Halloween stereotype.
Anyway, this photo was my favorite I took while I was there. I just loved the light.
After hearing all about the whole production, it would be cool to go through it at dusk to get photos and video of the real deal. Haunted houses and forests are all about ambeiance, mood, and fear of the unknown. Definitely looks harmless during the day, but once the sun goes down and the monsters come out, I know its a whole different story.
