So I really like the above photo. However, there is something wrong with it. The scene that is captured in the photograph didn't happen naturally. I was sent to this tuxedo shop to get a photo of guys picking up their tuxes for prom. When I got to the shop, no guys were there picking up their tuxes, just ordering them. The salesmen in the shop, I could tell, seemed like they didn't really want me around. So the next two guys that came in, one of the salesman asked them if they would walk out of the store with tuxes. Yeah, I took the pictures, but didn't feel comfortable to turn this photo in since it was staged. So I stuck around and got a more candid feature shot of a guy trying on a suit jacket and a lime green vest.
Glad I shot this since the story was about guys wearing brightly colored cloting to prom. Yeah, SO glad the editor let me in on that BEFORE I went to the assignment.
