Yeah, it took me a while to figure out, like an hour, when it should have taken minutes, lol...

In order to make your pictures bigger, you have to edit the html code for your template and for every picture you post.

Go to your layout tab and click "Edit HTML"

Scroll down to "Outer Wrapper"

I have the width of my "Outer Wrapper" at 1000px and for my "Main Wrapper" it's set at 750px...

After you do that, save your changes.

Then, when you get ready to post, well...

Here is how a typical photo in your posts looks now:

a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U9aErt8S-Jo/SMXQSXzKrEI/AAAAAAAABAg/32w7dxirCbY/s1600-h/0009.jpg">style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_U9aErt8S-Jo/SMXQSXzKrEI/AAAAAAAABAg/32w7dxirCbY/s400/0009.jpg" border="0"

See where it says "/s400/" near the end?

You want to change that number to either "s576" (medium) or "s720" (freakin' huge) and that should do the trick...

Let me know if you need any help! Have fun! :)
