This event not only made me feel like I was back in small town Ohio (aka Sidney), but it brought back the glorious reminder that fair isn't too far away (August 18th to be exact). Luckily, it isn't as crazy (coverage wise) as the SDN covers the Shelby County Fair.
So, the event was basically boring and my photos for the paper aren't anything special. However, I did take some photos for me and decided this is the best place to showcase them.

I decided that this photo was better in black and white so the colors wouldn't distract from the repetition in the photo.

Similar to the one above.

I loved this guy's mannerisms as he was waiting for his turn to pull. After editing my photos all I think of when I look at this is, "do you think my tractor's sexy?"

Just a thought, what if you went back to the originals of the first two pictures and didn't take out all of the color but, rather significantly desaturated them so that there is just a little color left. Kinda like a sepia print... I think it might add to the old and rusty feel...maybe. I know this isn't a popular technique in the photoj world. I think they look great in black and white too.
