In the past three days, I've gotten the opportunity to cover both Democratic presidential hopefuls visit to Lorain. It was to say the least an opportunity I'd never thought possible in my first job, and at the same time completely exhausting.
For Obama's visit I took care of stills for the paper, and for Hillary's visit I man-handled the video. I was nervous about doing the video for Clinton because the other photographer who shot and edited the video of Obama's visit did an amazing job. I am very pleased with my final product and I'd truly appreciate it if you'd take six minutes out of your day and watch the video link in my previous entry. I did take some stills during Hillary's rally for myself since I did during Obama's visit. I am kind of jealous of the photographer who covered Hillary's rally because there was a lot more visuals he had to play with since it was a town hall style rally. Obama visited the National Gypsum Plant in Lorain, so the backdrop wasn't as appealing to the eye.
After all is said and done, I really enjoyed myself at both of these high profile events. Not everyone can say that they are witness to such history that is being made by these two presidential hopefuls. Plus, I've finally decided who I'm going to vote for in Ohio's primary March 4.
