Magic hour lighting
Today was a beautiful sunny day with great lighting! Too bad it was really cold and windy out with no one doing stuff outside. But, I was still able to take advantage of the lighting and produce a real nice feature.
I am going to post two versions of this feature, with the first one being the one I submitted to run in the paper. I'd appreciate some feedback on which angle works better.

I liked the first one, too. I think it's because you can see more of the man's face.
This is the other ashley. I like #1 better b/c there's more visual information in the background... adds to a better sense of place. The "Open 9am" sign is more readable. There is more detail to his face and a better expression--the lines show character and he looks a little friendlier.
