Wednesday I received a phone call from a woman with the Boy Scouts of America. She was calling in regards to my application for the photo editor position at the Boys Life magazine in Irving, TX and told me that they were interested in setting up a phone interview with me. So, tomorrow at 10:30 am EDT (9:30 CDT), I will be speaking with John Fulton for a phone interview. That definitely added a perk to my day. Well, today I received a message on my phone from the managing editor from The Morning Journal in Lorain, OH wanting to set up a time for me to come over to meet for an interview. I could barely contain my excitement while I listened to her message. I sat on my friend's couch with my mouth wide open in excitement the entire time.
Her phone call definitely made my day and has lifted my mood significantly.
This whole period has been nothing but a waiting game. I realized you just have to be patient and try hard to stay optimistic even when its tough too. Trust me, I hit some pretty low periods where I thought, "Where the hell is my life going? Am destitude to live in Fort Wayne forever?"
Apparently, I'm not meant to live here since the tide is beginning to change.
