Last weekend was Fort Wayne's annual Johnny Appleseed festival. I was able to rest up enough to feel up to braving the crowds on Sunday. (For those who don't know, I was cursed with a wicked cold last weekend, and have just a trace of an annoying cough left.) It had been about seven or eight years since I had last been to the Johnny Appleseed festival so I was stoaked to go. After about two hours of roaming around the park looking at a variety of craft vendors, antiques and metalsmiths, I grabbed a cup of hot cider and an apple dumpling to go. On my way back towards the parking lot, I picked up an ear of juicy, buttery sweet corn and bought a bag of golden delicious apples.
I brought my camera out with me, but only could muster up the strength to take about a dozen pictures. The two hours out walking in the lovely fall-like weather after being couped up in the house the day before tuckered me out. So here are two photos I took on my only outing of the weekend.
