So, I didn't take this picture today, but it reflects the weather Sidney encountered today.
I didn't have to go in today until 2 p.m. because I worked all weekend. When I got into the office, there wasn't much to do since the next assignment wasn't until 4:30 (however, since it was high school tennis and it rained all afternoon, it was cancelled). My boss and I ended up sitting around the office talking and doing various things for about 3.5/4 hours. Instead of going out and actually hunting for a weather feature, we casually mentioned it a couple of times, watched it rain, and even talked about the rain. We did everything but actually go out and try to get a feature.(What a great mentor! :-D) The time seemed to fly and next thing we knew it was almost 5 p.m. We both left the office in a desperate attempt to find a rainy day feature. I had to go to an assignment first before I could go out and hunt.
My desparate attempt at finding a rainy day feature included trying to take pictures of raindrops on flowers, corn husks, and even looking for cool reflections in rain puddles. Zlich! So, as I'm driving back from Minster I take a detour through Lake Loramie State Park hoping to find some kind of wildlife out in the rain. (Actually, at this point, the rain had let up so I had a better chance of finding some wildlife. I end up seeing a blue herron on the bank of an inlet of the lake, so I pulled over. I tried to sneak up on it with my "ninja" skills, but it must have heard me coming because it flew away to an inlet across the street. So I follow it step for step until I could get close enough to get a decent picture with my telephoto lens. Yeah, so my attempt at a rainy day featured stooped to me stalking wildlife.

I think I'll stick to cute kids, spot news and sports.
